The 2018-2019 Australian Skateboarding League (ASL) series is done and dusted. The National Final held across Melbourne’s Moomba festival hosted some of the best skateboarders Australia has to offer. All seven states and territories were represented and did their people proud. Everyone put on an absolute show at Riverslide Skate Park, but it was Victoria who cleaned up the gold.

Taking out the crown in three out of five divisions, Victorians Noah Bardas, Hayley Wilson and Mitchell Howse pulled together flawless runs. St Kilda local, Noah Bardas, ripped up the park in the 12 & Under division, showing heaps of flow and style at only 11 years old. Seventeen year old Hayley Wilson form Mansfield, Victoria showed us exactly what a comp run should look like. Full of power and control she landed trick after trick in the Open Female comp. In the very last event of the ASL National Finals, Coburg’s 24 year old Mitchell ‘Mashy’ Howse came out as top dog in the Open Males. Mashy pulled out the bangers to secure his spot on the podium and walk away with the cash!

Congratulations to all the competitors! Thank you to all the sponsors and everyone who came down to supported the event.
